The School Supply Drive was a HUGE success. Thank you so much for your generosity. It was overwhelming!
Last Wednesday we saw 700-800 children and their families come to receive school supplies. They were greeted in the parking lot, at the doors, by those registering, and then helped with their supplies by our guides. After they recieved their supplies they enjoyed free food and games outside. There were so many smiling faces, both those receiving and those giving.
In addition to the 700-800 children helped on Wednesday, Henderson Hills, also helped 185 children with ALL their school supplies through Adopt a Child. All of those backpacks have been delivered.
On Thursday we gave more supplies to teachers who attend Henderson Hills. They acted like it was Christmas! What a joy to help those who invest in our children throughout the year. Then on Friday we took the remaining supplies to these schools: Orvis Risner, Ida Freeman, Will Rogers, and Northern Hills. Again the response was, "Why are you doing this for us?" What fun it was to say it was a gift from the Lord and Henderson Hills.
It's amazing what God did and what He is doing through this effort. We are still receiving calls, email, and comments about the drive. Those who were helped were amazed that we would give so much and be so friendly and welcoming. Way to go church!

Again, thank you for all you did to make this a success!
