Please park near the Hillside Kids area (by the playground) and enter through the main doors. Once inside there’s a check-in area with friendly volunteers to help you.

We take every precaution to provide a loving, safe environment for children. All teachers must complete a Recognizing & Reporting security/safety class and submit to a thorough background check before working with children. A duplicate tag check-in system is used to ensure children are returned only to their parent or guardian.

When you walk through our doors you'll see a variety of clothing choices. If you want to dress up, you certainly won’t be out of place, however most of our attendees dress pretty casually. For example, from the stage you will notice our teaching pastor and worship leaders typically wearing jeans. Main thing we want you to know? You are welcome here no matter what you wear. We can’t wait to see you.

At Henderson Hills we believe worship is about God and not about us. Because of that, we select and sing songs with lyrics that accurately represent who Christ is and what He has done. We also believe the Holy Spirit is the one who moves in hearts during worship and it's not our job to try to stir up emotions or cater to any particular personal preference. We simply select songs that speak Biblical truth. 

As long as this priority is met, we believe a variety of worship styles should be displayed in a church worship service. On any given Sunday you might hear a popular song from the radio sung right after a hymn written hundreds of years ago. In most services we have a vocal team accompanied by a full band which includes both electric and acoustic guitars, bass, piano, and drums.

We believe the Bible alone is our ultimate authority to teach us about God and how to live. With this in mind, our preaching style is expository in nature, which means the message is completely based on Scripture and focused on communicating it in a way that emphasizes its original, God-intended meaning. Modern applications and illustrations are sometimes used as a means of helping us understand how God's Word is just as relevant and applicable today as it always has and always will be.
