At Henderson Hills Baptist Church, we believe the gospel is for everyone, and its impact reaches every heart and every season of life. With that conviction, we are committed to caring deeply for those who may feel forgotten or overlooked. Whether through supporting marriages, celebrating weddings, walking alongside those in grief, ministering in nursing homes and hospitals, or serving our homebound members, our desire is that every individual experiences the love, care, and presence of Christ through our church family.
If you are in need of prayer or support, please reach out to us at prayer@hhbc.com—we would be honored to walk with you.
The Caring Well Ministry at Henderson Hills serves those who've experienced domestic violence, spiritual abuse, and sexual abuse.
The Foster and Adoption Ministry (FAM) at Henderson Hills is dedicated to loving God and others by equipping, supporting, and encouraging those who choose to grow their families through adoption or serve children in the foster care system. Our heart extends beyond adoptive and foster families—we are also committed to ministering to biological and birth families, offering care and compassion at every stage of the journey.
The loss of a family member or loved one is one of life's most difficult experiences. Our hope and prayer is that you will reach out to others and allow them to walk with you on your journey. If you would like to talk with someone or have questions regarding a funeral, please call the Congregational Care office at 405-513-7555.
Funerals at Henderson Hills are considered Christian worship services. As such they will be thoroughly biblical, seek to glorify God, present the gospel message, emphasize the beauty, joy and fulfillment of the Christian life, and stress the remarkable wonder of the eternity promised by Christ. These elements will dominate any funeral service in word, song, and media presentations. Henderson Hills reserves the right to decline requests which seek a funeral service that deviates from these norms.
Bible study, Christian fellowship, and corporate worship are important aspects of the Christian life. Unfortunately, increasing numbers of Henderson Hills' members are no longer able to join others on the church campus because of physical limitations. To address this growing need, we offer weekly visits by trained team members to homebound individuals and their caregivers with opportunities for Bible reading, prayer, and Christian fellowship.
The Hands of Hope Ministry seeks to care for people in their time of need and embrace every opportunity to share the gospel through their gifts of kindness and acts of love. This ministry is made up of ladies who make special items to bless people in the community.
They meet on the fourth Thursday of each month, (January-October) from 2-4 pm in the Large Conference Room of the church offices. But most of the work and prayers for the recipients happen in homes.
Projects include crocheting, knitting, sewing, needlework, and more.
Hands of Hope also partners with other ministries like Hope Pregnancy Center, No Boundaries International, and local hospitals and police departments. Area hospitals are given baby blankets, hats, and special items for those who may have lost a baby. Other ministries are given blankets, sunglass cases, purses, etc.
If you'd like to donate materials such as yarn or other supplies, contact Susie Williamson or call 405-922-5293.
Henderson Hills shares the love of God by offering prayer, compassionate support, and face-to-face visits to our hospitalized members. We desire to allow God to work through us to provide encouragement and hope to patients and their family members.
Our pastors and hospital visitation team members are trained to maintain medical confidentiality and respect the patient's privacy in all situations.
At Henderson Hills, we believe that marriage is a gift from God, designed to reflect His love and bring Him glory.
Our Marriage Ministry exists to equip, enrich, restore, and empower couples—helping them build strong, Christ-centered marriages that bless others and honor God.
Residents of nursing homes and assisted living centers are some of the most forgotten and neglected people of our day. Our Nursing Home Ministry equips and sends caring church members weekly to honor, serve, and minister to those in area facilities.
Our Special Needs Ministry is dedicated to nurturing, supporting, and empowering individuals of all ages with special needs. We strive to create a welcoming environment where everyone is encouraged in the gospel, taught to worship God, and loved unconditionally.
We reserve wedding dates for church family first and foremost. If you're interested in having your wedding at Henderson Hills, please take a moment and complete this interest form.
In addition to helping you plan your wedding, we are committed to helping each couple build a strong Christian marriage. Each couple to be married at Henderson Hills must complete premarital counseling before the wedding date. Arrangements for the counseling sessions should be made with the officiating pastor. Anyone using an outside officiant must still complete the counseling. Information concerning the marriage license should be discussed during the counseling sessions.
According to 2 Corinthians 6:14-18, our pastors reserve the right to decide whom they will unite in Christian marriage.
