FAMILY DISCIPLESHIP

EQUIPPING FAMILIES TO FOLLOW JESUS

Family Discipleship is all about partnering with parents and grandparents to help the next generation know and follow Jesus. We believe the home is the primary place where faith is nurtured, and the church comes alongside to support, equip, and encourage families every step of the way. Through shared teaching, practical resources, and intentional support, we’re committed to helping families grow in Christ—together.

“The most spiritually influential person in a child’s life is the parent.”— Dr. Timothy Paul Jones

At Henderson Hills, we believe discipleship is not passive—it is a dynamic, multiplying work that begins first in the home. Parents play a vital role in shaping a faith that lasts, and we want to empower you to step confidently into that calling.

To support you, our entire church—adults, students, and children—studies the same passage each week in Community Groups. This alignment is intentional. It creates a natural pathway for spiritual conversations at home, helping you connect Scripture to real life and reinforce what your family is learning together.

Our broader discipleship strategy integrates Community Groups, Micro Groups, and 1-on-1 mentoring, but its strength grows when families practice discipleship daily. Every believer is equipped and sent to make disciples—and for parents, your children are your first mission field.

To help guide you, the Family Discipleship handbook provides clear direction, simple practices, and a focused vision for becoming a family that nurtures faith for a lifetime.
