FIRST THINGS FIRST SERMON SERIES
"In essentials unity, in non-essentials liberty, in all things charity." - Rupertus Meldenius. Christian faith contains doctrines that we must keep "First Things First". These are the essentials to salvation that are important for every Christian to believe. There are also secondary and tertiary issues that differ between believers. How can we love one another with these non-essential differences? In this series we seek to understand and love God and each other more as we look at some of the big principles of the our faith.
Our freedom in Christ is a gift meant to be used with love—for the church, for the lost, and ultimately for the glory of God.
Salvation is God’s work alone—chosen by the Father, redeemed by the Son, and sealed by the Spirit—leading us to humility, mission, and wholehearted praise.
The church is God’s household and mission outpost—called to worship, grow, and live sent so that His glory is displayed to the world.
Jesus will return to judge the nations, and we are called to believe, live faithfully, share the gospel, and wait expectantly for His coming.
Jesus, the eternal Son of God made flesh, reveals God’s glory and offers us new life through His grace and truth.
The Trinity reveals God as one in essence and three in person, showing us the depth of His greatness and the fullness of His saving work.
God’s attributes reveal His greatness and goodness, leading us to worship Him, trust His promises, and live in a way that reflects His character.
